ROBERT T. CHASTINE

President

 

Mr. Robert Chastine has more than 28 years experience in the government acquisition environment. 
He joined MTA, Inc. in 1988 as the Vice President of Marketing/Business Development and was appointed as President in 1990.  His leadership over the past two decades has resulted in MTA, Inc. being
a viable technology development and technical services firm some nine plus years after graduating from the SBA 8(a) Program.

 

Mr. Chastine received his B.S. degree in Aeronautical Management from Embry-Riddle University in 1977. He continued his M.S. work in International Logistics at Alabama A&M University in 1989.  

 

Mr. Chastine is a retired military officer with more than three thousand combat flying hours over hostile territory in Vietnam.  He is a member of Kiwanis International where he served as past President
of the North Huntsville Chapter and is the recipient of the Hixon Fellowship Award.  He is also a lifetime member of the U.S. Army Black Aviation Association, the Huntsville Association of Small Businesses for Advanced Technology, Advisor to the Huntsville Chief of Police on Minority Recruitment, and is an appointed member of the Huntsville Economic Diversity Council. 

 

Mr. Chastine is the recipient of numerous awards for his support and leadership in his community and the Southeast region.
